The first time you launch Jelly SMS, you will be prompted to enter login details. Some people will already have a provider. For instance, Irish mobile phone users should use their O2.ie, Three.ie, Vodafone.ie, Meteor.ie or eMobile.ie webtext username and password to log into Jelly SMS.

If you do not have a provider already, you can simply register with My-Cool-SMS.com here, and purchase some credit with them so that you can send texts worldwise for as low as 3 cent per SMS. The great thing about My-Cool-SMS.com is that if you’re not satisfied with the service and have less than 5 SMS sent, they will refund your credit.

So to repeat:

1. Make sure you have your provider username and password to hand. If you don’t have one, simply register at My-Cool-SMS.com.

2. In Jelly SMS, enter your username and password. Some providers allow you to specify a ‘Sender ID’. This is the number that will be displayed when the recipient of your sent text messages will see for the incoming message. Set this to your mobile number in international format.

Note: for Irish providers, your username will be your 10 digit mobile number and your password will be the password you use to login to your provider website (e.g. Vodafone.ie).
